Partnerships

Our track record of partnerships with industry has delivered a range of innovative products and solutions.

We work with world-leading materials scientists and industry visionaries

To accelerate the rapid decarbonisation of the global cement industry

we need to make the technology as widely and economically available
as possible. Collaboration and partnership are key.
  • Academic and Scientific

Our network of research and academic partners supports development and  validation of ground-breaking cement technologies worldwide.

  • Industry

Our network of industry partners works with us to trial and deliver ACT on jobsites in real world conditions.

Partnership and collaboration

Partnership and collaboration with industry and academia are essential to delivering successful solutions.

From São Paulo to Toronto, Toulouse to Delhi, we have built a global network of collaboration with leading universities and research institutions.

We work with some of the world’s foremost materials scientists and industry visionaries to advance the development of low-carbon applications. Their expertise and insights enable us to challenge the status quo and drive the creation of next-generation solutions for the cement industry. Together, we are tackling the decarbonisation challenge, with a focus on developing scalable solutions that will help the entire industry achieve its climate goals.

In addition to our own innovation centre in Paris, and our two shared research laboratories with Ecole Normal Superieure (ENS) University of Paris Saclay and Toulouse University, we fund an additional eight PhDs at universities around the world. This gives us a global perspective, deep expertise, and access to global resources.

Major investment in new labs in France and The Netherlands, are due to come online in 2026 and deliver enhanced innovation and technical services for our partners and customers at every stage of the process.

Critical to success is the ability to transfer developed innovations to real world applications. Solving a technical challenge is an important the first step, but managing the transition from lab to live project is what delivers impact at scale.

We have developed deep and long lived partnerships with a range of major companies including Cemex Frace and Titan, Bouygues, Saint Gobain, Vinci and Sisk.  Solutions in action include cement used in the Grand Paris Express and Olympic Village in Paris, The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and HS2 High-Speed Railway in The UK and The Aviva Stadium in Ireland and the world’s first ACT demonstrator project at Wembley Park, London.

The Ecocem Science Symposium

Ecocem’s inaugural science symposium brought together leading materials scientists from around the world to share the latest research and insights on low-carbon cement technologies. The event focused on ACT technology, exploring ways to refine and accelerate its scalability to further drive decarbonisation. We look forward to convening our next symposium in November 2025.
