Introducing ACT

Our next-generation, cost-effective, low-carbon cement technology reduces carbon by up to 70% without changing how projects are delivered.

From Demonstrator to Commercial Deployment

"True to our culture of innovation, this project marks the first milestone in a broader deployment that will see ACT technology incorporated into new projects in the months ahead.” Vincent Legendre - President, Legendre Group

The next chapter of ACT is already underway. Discover how the Parker & Baker development near Paris is becoming the world's first full-scale residential project built using concrete made with Ecocem ACT across every concrete element.

Using 9,000m³ of ACT concrete and delivering a 55% reduction in embodied carbon, the project demonstrates how low-carbon cement can be deployed at commercial scale using today's construction methods. Explore the project and see how ACT is moving from innovation to real-world adoption.

Delivering ACT

By working together the cement industry can become the first industrial sector to decarbonise on a trajectory compliant with 1.5°C of global warming.
Ecocem ACT X Canary Wharf
"I think we will very quickly move away from the most carbon-intensive mixes that have been used for decades in the past" - Simon Banfield, Director, Ramboll UK.

Our breakthrough low-carbon cement technology, ACT, was used in the real world for one of the first times ever on a pilot-project in Canary Wharf, right in the heart of London.

We worked with Canary Wharf Group and Troubadour Theatres Limited to create an exciting new venue in the form of a 1,200 capacity theatre.

"Ecocem ACT behaves like concrete, it looks like concrete and feels like concrete. So when our contractors have worked with it, it is the same product essentially. The only thing different is there is less carbon in it."

Ross Cullen, Technical Director, SISK
