Ethics policy

Ecocem recognises the need to adopt and apply the highest standards of ethical behaviour throughout every aspect of its operations.

Anti-corruption:

Ecocem operates a zero-tolerance policy to any risk of corruption and bribery throughout its business. The company requires two people to review and authorise all financial transactions to minimise risk of corruption. We aim to carry out anti-corruption training for all senior management to ensure compliance. All employees have an obligation to report knowledge or suspicion of corruption so that it can be handled promptly and thoroughly without fear of reprisal or retaliation. All reports are treated with confidentiality to the extent possible and addressed thoroughly and promptly by the company.

Environmental Justice:

At Ecocem, we support the right of all people to a clean and healthy environment and ensure that our activities are well managed, and our facilities, appropriately located and maintained to avoid adverse impacts to surrounding communities.

Supply Chain:

Ecocem’s raw material supply chain is clear and transparent. We are in direct contact with all our suppliers and only conduct business with those suppliers that meet Ecocem’s standard for conduct. We operate an approved supplier list ensuring no unapproved supplier is used in our manufacturing process or supply chain. We aim to carry out assessments on all our downstream material suppliers.

Staff Wellbeing:

Ecocem is an equal opportunity employer committed to the wellbeing of its staff. We comply with all applicable local labour laws and ensure a safe and welcoming workplace for all employees. We are committed to protecting and respecting all human rights including vulnerable groups. We ensure that child labour, slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking is not taking place within our organisation, its subsidiary companies, or in any of our supply chains.

Compliance:

We have implemented ISO standards for Environment, Quality and Health and Safety at all our facilities to guarantee a consistent standard is met throughout the business.  As part of these standards, we review our legal compliance and are externally audited by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) annually.
